Off-topic blather (don't get your dick out yet)

Hey, it's my prerogative as a blogger.

Finally remembered to set up the TiVo to record ''Queer Eye for a Straight Guy'' when it airs on Thursday night. I admit to gagging, initially, on the show's premise: five gay men take a nice, laid-back straight dude and persuade him that his life will be richer if he would just devote a little more intellectual energy to choosing the right hair-care products. Barf.

''But Jack,'' I chided myself, ''it's not fair to dismiss a show you haven't even seen, just because you're terrified by the prospect of a coming dystopia in which straight men have all been made over into coiffed, body-waxed metrosexuals, thus totally ruining your rough-trade fantasies.''

So, I'm gonna make myself watch the show before passing judgment. Anyway, someone on Clubstroke said there was an amusing reference to the straight guy's masturbatory habits in the premiere episode, and you know that piqued my curiosity.
