Bachelor pad, here I come!

I am not far away from having my own private Masturbatorium again. Apparently my credit history wasn't as grim as I'd feared, for I got a call today from the management of Fox Chase in Alexandria saying that my application to rent a 1 BR Dlx unit has been approved -- I'll be signing the lease and picking up the keys on Friday, March 5. (I mention the Fox Chase development by name because there is apparently a still-functioning porno theater nearby. Not a row of video booths, mind you, but an actual theater where they show -- or used to show -- beaver documentaries.)

I'm already making a list of things to get for the new apartment, and the very first big-ticket purchase will be a new computer and a high-speed Internet connection to go with it. (Neither DSL nor cable modem service is currently available in my parents' neighborhood, where I've been living since summer 2003.) Which means, for readers of Brooklyn Jack and my other blogs, that I'll be posting new content more often, so stay tuned. I hope to be back at my original Brooklyn speed by the end of March.
